To get to the screening area, I followed, as instructed, a trail of large pink dots painted on the floor. After running halfway down a long hallway the dots made a right and so did I. The dots went right again (same) then stopped halfway into a waiting room.
I think any normal person would have just thought “fine, here is another, new, distinct entirely second waiting room” and sat down. But I have a habit of convincing myself the most obvious answer is wrong. This is how I came to decide that the dots were actually taking me to the small changing room right next to this second waiting room. I entered this small changing room and picked up a gown off a pile of neatly folded clean gowns and started to take off my clothes.
There was a loud knock. I opened the door to a woman with short gray hair wearing one of the gowns I wasn’t supposed to put on yet, apparently, and a short woman in scrubs, with dyed blonde hair, who was mad at me.
