Fool Me Once is an adaptation of a novel by Harlan Coben, who is American, which is weird, because the series takes place in England. Also weird, he went to the same college as Dan Brown, who wrote The DaVinci Code, and they were in the same fraternity. I also went to this college, where, alas, I was not in their fraternity.
Coben has written a lot of books. He seems like the kind of writer who rises early, drinks coffee, types all day, then eats a salad and writes more. After a ten minute nap he plays tennis with Dan Brown and has exactly one cocktail and a modest serving of pasta and goes to bed in his spotless and minimalist bedroom equipped with automatic blinds that rise at 5:30 a.m. so he can begin once again the exceedingly rare process of wealth accumulation through writing.
